Spend the summer having fun with our students and fellow instructors at Landmark Preschool! Landmark Preschool is located in Westport, CT.
We are seeking enthusiastic Preschool Summer Teachers to lead classrooms through joyful learning and play.
Position Overview:
- This seasonal position will lead an engaging, safe, and fun program for our summer campers! In this role you will supervise and guide students through indoor and outdoor group activities, creating learning experiences that are safe, interactive, and engaging.
- The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of previous experience caring for children. Experience teaching in a preschool or daycare setting is a plus.
- You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, thoughtful and effective communication skills and self motivation.
- We are looking for flexible, creative teachers who can jump in and work with autonomy.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Assist and participate in all Camp Landmark activities including but not limited to: circle time, snacks, outdoor playground, water play, sensory table and more.
- Keep attendance of all campers and assist with arrival and dismissal procedures.
- Provide for the safety and well-being of children by offering clear communication and instruction and create a clean, safe and healthy environment for our students.
- Engage with each child and maintain a fun learning environment for campers to thrive.
- Communicate with parents about the child's experience in camp as needed.
- Collaborate with the Preschool Director regarding the camp program day-to-day activities.
- Ensure that programming aligns with the Landmark Preschool mission and program expectations.
- Abide by Landmark Preschool’s policies, procedures and rules.
Job Details:
- Position Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30- 2:30 pm.
- Position Dates: June 15 - July 31, 2026.
- Summer Weeks: June 15-18, June 22-26, June 29- July 2, July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24, July 27- July 31.
- This position is seasonal, the pay rate will be $18-$23/hour based on experience.
