About the Job
We are seeking a collaborative and professional Admissions Manager to join our team in Westport, CT and lead our preschool enrollment process. In this key, front-facing role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for prospective families through enrollment, with a focus on attracting, enrolling, and retaining mission-aligned families.
Reporting to the Associate Head of School and Director of Enrollment and supporting the Director, you will cultivate strong, positive relationships with prospective families, ensuring a welcoming and informative introduction to our school.


Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  • Oversee and support prospective families’ journey through the admissions process with a professional and helpful approach whether in person or over the phone/email
  • Oversee the full admissions cycle in Westport, from inquiry, application, assessment, and decision to enrollment, onboarding, and re-enrollment
  • Represent Ridgefield Academy and Landmark Preschool with a warm, personalized experience
  • Manage the office in many key ways: calendar for tours, visits, follow ups, communications, ongoing enrollment data and files, tuition assistance, and transition materials.
  • Step into a leadership role in the Director’s absence.
  • Coordinate with faculty and staff on student assessments, classroom visits, admissions committee, and admissions events
  • Serve as the leader of various databases and files, including admissions and tuition assistance, to maintain accurate records in Veracross
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications team in the development and upkeep of communications and publications as needed (website, newsletters, marketing publications and mailings)
  • Process enrollment and re-enrollment packets within the Veracross system 
  • Analyze enrollment trends, demographics, and market data to inform recruitment strategies
  • Work closely with school leadership to support student retention and family satisfaction
  • Work with the Director of Enrollment management to set and monitor enrollment targets, report regularly against goals, and lead campus-specific strategies
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track enrollment management metrics and trends 
  • Lead recruitment efforts on the Westport campus, including open houses, tours, and community events
  • Build relationships with community organizations and relocation networks
  • Conduct office support work including filing, typing, copying, collating mailings, and other general office work as assigned by the Director.
  • Support the School and its leadership
  • Assist with projects, daily workload and ad hoc work as assigned
  • Help manage a busy front office and support within the classrooms as needed
  • Guide prospective families through the admissions process
  • Daily database operations using Veracross, including data entry, monitoring, reporting, and record management.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 3+ years experience in office administration, admissions, marketing, and/or communications
  • Exceptional technology skills and knowledge of Google Suite 
  • Ability to handle confidential material and situations with discretion and sensitivity 
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and work within a bustling school environment 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with a positive attitude and joyful spirit
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with staff at all levels 
  • Ability to be flexible yet organized and work with a positive attitude while maintaining workload  and meeting deadlines
  • Warm, welcoming, and relationship-oriented attitude
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills; data-driven mindset
  • Experience working with young children and their families

Additional Information:

This is a 12-month, full-time position with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement contributions, and professional development opportunities. Hours are 8:30am-5:00pm.
